Empty Checking #2 - July 3, 2010

This week's podcast deals less with comic books and more with other media.  (Yay!)  I also go into detail about how maybe spending money on crap that you may or may not like 5 years from now isn't the BEST use of your funds...and I give an extensive rant on the power of music.  Plus, I swear once...or twice, depending on how you look at it...but they're both words you can hear on prime-time TV.  So it's not like I said one of Carlin's "seven-words."  :)

Enjoy.

DVD Purchased:
  • Rush: Behind the Lighted Stage
Music Reviews (neither "technically" purchased this week):
  • Johnny Cash - American VI
  • Iron Maiden - "El Dorado"
TV Watched:
  • Futurama
  • WWE Wrestling in general, with particular attention given to Bret Hart.
Comic Books Purchased:
  • Captain America - Issue #607
  • Captain America: The 1940s Newspaper Strip
  • Batman Beyond - Issue #1
  • Joker's Asylum: Clayface
Comic Books Read:
  • All of the above.
  • Also Neil Young's "Greendale" adaptation.
Forecast:
  • Should be a few more comic books...but it doesn't look like a really heavy week.
  • There are some DVDs out that I've been meaning to pick up.
  • A BUNCH of music has come out recently and I think there's some new stuff this week I should get excited about.
