In this "special episode," I talk about Kevin Conroy and share my grief at his passing. I'm 100% sure my thoughts are incomplete and imperfect. But I hope you hear my heart. Kevin Conroy was MY Batman. He WAS Batman. This goes some small way in expressing my admiration and mourning.
***EDIT: A couple corrections... 1. It turns out it wasn't THAT "The Office." It was a show in 1995 with the same name. 2. The guy Conroy was glad the cops didn't shoot in New York lost his SON, not his brother, which makes that a lot more weighty... My apologies for the mistakes. I was emotional and riffing off the top of my head. It happens.***
Please feel free to e-mail me at db@derekbrink.com to talk about your memories and feelings for Kevin Conroy.
Otherwise...go out there and be Batman, folks.

Stolen from Kevin Conroy's Twitter. He's the tall gentleman at the back. This was the soup kitchen he worked in after 9/11. I think just SEEING this is a wonderful tribute to the man,. |
