We've Moved Hosts -- YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING! (Probably!)

Hi Checkmates. Just some quick news that those of you who are subscribed on podcast apps probably already know.

The show has changed hosts and is now on PodBean! SoundCloud was a great place to get started, but they were never really built for podcasts and I was experiencing some upload issues as a result. PodBean is going to be a much better fit for the show and I'm excited to be working with them.

Here's the best part, unless you were listening to the show exclusively on SoundCloud, you don't even have to do anything! The RSS feed is still going to all the same places. We're still on CastBox and iTunes and elsewhere. The worst that might happen is when you're on CastBox (or similar) you might get a notice that the show has moved and they'll redirect you to the new location so you can subscribe there. But that's IT.

The best news of it is that while SoundCloud would force their app on mobile users, PodBean doesn't do that. On SoundCloud if you were on your phone you'd click play and they'd tell you to download the SoundCloud app to listen or to go fuck yourself (or something), but on PodBean you can JUST LISTEN and you don't have to download a damn thing! Now it's totally up to you whether you go fuck yourself or not!

All I've got up so far is a "hello" from PodBean, and I'll share it below. But a new episode is coming soon. Nice to be back!

EDIT: I'm working on getting all the old episodes back on the blog. Soundcloud killed the links once I stopped paying them. It's your call if you think that's bullshit or not. But I can put PodBean players in the old posts pretty easily...just need to block out the time.

Basic Information About the Podcast

1. There may be some “strong” language. I speak the way I speak. I promise that I will try to avoid excessive profanity, but I can not guarantee that every podcast will be absolutely swear-word free. It is recommended that any listeners be 13+, due only to the potential of me using some "dirty" words.

2. There are likely to be spoilers in each podcast if I'm discussing something that has already aired. I assume that if you were interested, you'd have read/watched/listened to it by the time I'm posting about it...whatever "it" is.

3. Whenever possible, I’ll give you a preview of what I’m talking about from week to week, so you’ll know in advance if you’ll be bored. But I tend to go off topic.

4. Sometimes I’ll like the stuff I review. Sometimes I won’t. I will likely be fairly critical of some of the things I review. However, I will do my best to be fair. ACCURATE...but fair. If I absolutely hate something, I’ll let you know...but I will try not to just blindly blast something for the sake of it.

5. I’m going to try to take up enough time to make it WORTH your time. There’s nothing worse than settling in for someone’s podcast and then discovering that they only did 2 minutes. I’m going to try to keep it between 30-60 minutes each time.

6. It should be understood that I am not accountable for any comments made by any guest on the show. I reserve the right to edit any comments I find unacceptable in both recordings and written comments, but for the most part will leave any guest commentator's comments as in-tact as I can.

7. Each download will always be released ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE.

8. As of 2017, I do not have any sponsors and this podcast is a labor of love. Should any sponsorships or commercials appear, they will either be added by my web-host or a product that I have personally approved...but we're not there yet. If a webhost adds a commercial, it should not be assumed that I have endorsed the product.

9. Just have fun. This is supposed to be fun.
