Episode 93 - I Look Like a Homeless DJ

In this episode, I return to numbering which episode it is in the episode title, among other things. (Can you believe it's almost 100 episodes?!?) I mostly talk about music from Matthew Sweet, Ani DiFranco, Lucero, The Hold Steady (although I forget to actually mention the band or album title for a LONG time while I'm talking about it! Sorry!), and Lord Huron. I also touch on the Switch re-release of Super Mario 3D World, hats, phones, Rush Limbaugh, and beer. So there's plenty to dig into, even though it's a little bit of a shorter episode. Do it up!

My hats! I like the gold-ish one best, I think. It's a little bit browner in real life.

This is one of the phone handsets I mentioned buying. You know what a phone looks like, I bet. But I mentioned it so I felt obligated.

New Matthew Sweet album. Good, catchy, jangly stuff.

New Ani DiFranco. Jazzy and laid-back, but still pretty immersive. 

New Lucero. Feels a little bit like a departure, but a good one.

The Hold Steady's "Heaven is Whenever." I don't have "Open Door Policy" in-hand yet, but I mentioned this one too, so I'm putting it in the post instead of putting a picture of the new one in here. In the episode I said I'd steal a picture of the cover from their Bandcamp page and put it in the post, but I didn't. So there.

Lord Huron...pretty much the whole discography. (There are probably some EPs or whatever.) Good mellow rock stuff. All of the albums are a little different and all just as good.

This is the end of the beer I mentioned drinking. I don't know.
